Updated CMAM Toolkit Webinar: Rapid start-up resources for emergency nutrition personnel
The CMAM (Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition Model) Toolkit is a collection of technical documents and tools often needed by program managers to enable them to plan for and initiate CMAM program implementation, either at the onset of a crisis, during a protracted crisis or as a new nutrition activity. The Toolkit is envisioned as an easy-to-use compilation of these tools and resources that will allow managers to rapidly access needed inputs and begin implementation as soon as possible.
With funding from TOPS, Save the Children has been working with nutrition professionals from different organizations to update the content of the CMAM Toolkit with new evidence and enhance its applicability to both emergency and long term programming. TOPS hosted a webinar to disseminate the updated Toolkit, exploring new sections and major revisions to the existing Toolkit. Participants were also taken through a brief simulation exercise on specific sections of the Toolkit, followed by a Question & Answer session. The presentation concluded with a brief outline of the future of the Toolkit and how nutrition practitioners can stay engaged.
