Early Warning and Response/Trigger Indicators Working Group Kick-Off Meeting for Title II Awardees
FANTA-3 and TOPS cordially invite you to a kick-off meeting of the Title II Awardee-focused Early Warning and Response (EWR) Working Group, to be held Thursday, 24 May, from 10 a.m.-noon at Save the Children's DC headquarters (2000 L Street, NW, Suite 500).
The group will bring together Title II practitioners with experience designing and implementing EWR activities (e.g., trigger indicators and related thresholds and response plans) to share knowledge, materials, and successful approaches, and work together to identify and resolve challenges to the practical application of this program mechanism.
This first working group meeting, which we anticipate will kick-off a series of regular such meetings, will bring together HQ-based practitioners and relevant field staff, as desired, to discuss the current state of EWR within ongoing Title II development programs, identify what has worked and what hasn't in past development programs, and begin to outline outstanding challenges to implementing EWR components in Title II programs. Specific questions to be discusses during the session include: how have trigger indicators and thresholds worked in practice? how useful have they been as a funding mechanism? As an input into community early warning systems at the program level? In other ways?
This working group targets practitioners who work on EWR at the policy and implementation levels within Title II development programs. We have tried to target this email to those among you who we think may be most interested in this work, but if we have inadvertently failed to include some of our colleagues, please do forward this along to them!
If you are interested in attending this kick-off meeting, please RSVP to Laura Glaeser at email@example.com by close of business Monday, 21 May.
