The CALP Network

Join the CALP Network for the launch of a collaborative process to refresh and renew policy commitments toward ensuring better assistance for crisis-affected populations globally. While the use of cash as part of humanitarian response has grown significantly in the last seven years, recent research shows that much more is required. A new collective vision, along with renewed commitments, are essential to driving forward the development of cash and voucher assistance as a key means of achieving more people-centered and effective aid. This virtual meeting will feature a brief presentation of research findings and remarks from:

  • Sarah Charles, USAID’s Assistant Administrator of the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance
  • Innocent Tshilombo, who has lived experience of receiving cash and voucher assistance
  • Smruti Patel, Director of Global Mentoring Initiative and co-lead of the Global Locally Led Response and CVA Working Group
  • Michael Kohler, Deputy Director General of ECHO

Spaces are limited to two senior representatives (e.g. CEO, Humanitarian Director, etc.) per organization. Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Arabic, French, and Spanish.
