Description of the webinar
Globally, women and young girls are disproportionately affected by lack of access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Comprehensive and inclusive WASH programming has the potential to contribute to gender equality, improve women’s social and economic development, and promote the health and well-being of all community members through improved nutrition outcomes.
Join PRO-WASH as we kick off the first of our webinar series looking at successful strategies and tools for integrating a gender-informed approach into WASH programming. Speakers will offer practical, hands-on guidance for how programs can better plan for, implement and capture lessons learned during the process of integrating a stronger focus on gender into their WASH programming. They will also share their own experiences working across a diverse array of countries and programs including their successes and even the challenges they have faced in strengthening meaningful women’s engagement in water governance, nutrition and resilience.
