About the Event

One of the most challenging aspects of designing sanitation market interventions is gaining a deep understanding of how customers perceive toilets, their installation, maintenance, upkeep and costs in order to target the right users at the right time. Human-Centered Design or HCD techniques have been used to create innovative solutions to the everyday WASH challenges.

Through this process, programs can gain insights into generating, prototyping, and refining solutions that improve lives and consider the entire user experience from how a WASH solution is built to how it is promoted, financed, and delivered!

Interested in how HCD techniques can be used to address your program's WASH challenges? Join iDE & PRO-WASH to learn more about the Sama Sama sanitation business in Ghana, which used HCD to improve products and increase sales by better understanding customers' needs, especially women. Through its program, Sama Sama was also able to create job opportunities and strengthen the market for local WASH entrepreneurs.

Participants can expect to leave this webinar with a better understanding of how HCD can support your WASH programming, as well as, gain a rich understanding of a practical tool that you can use on your own.

Bring your biggest challenges that you are facing in your work and we’ll discuss how we can work together to resolve these challenges.
