This document is a presentation of the proceedings of the International Symposium on Food and Nutrition Security.  This symposium was held in Rome, Italy in December 2010.  The thirty-five papers that were presented provide a range of views and analyses that form a rich body of knowledge and experience. The proceedings here aim at collecting and better documenting evidence that demonstrates the impact, effectiveness and sustainability of food-based approaches for improving diets and raising levels of nutrition. These proceedings are a useful resource for individuals working to combat hunger and malnutrition.
