The FSN Network's Knowledge Management Task Force hosted Feed the Future's Enabling Environment for Food Security Project to share key findings and lessons learned during the development of the project's multi-year knowledge strategy, which was developed to guide how the project integrates KM approaches and tools to improve the enabling environment for food security.

The strategy paid particular attention to:

  • Growing the evidence and knowledge base,
  • Facilitating the exchange of knowledge amongst key stakeholders, and
  • Supporting the use of evidence in programming to improve the enabling environment for food security in Feed the Future.

To inform this KM approach, the project used findings from a mixed methods KM assessment to better understand their different audience’s preferences and interest as they relate to the subject matter, and accessing and exchanging information.  The team is now in the early stages of implementing their strategy, with  a strong focus on collaborating with other technical as well as KM actors working towards similar goals.
