USAID Appoints New Food for Peace Director

USAID is pleased to announce the appointment of Trey Hicks as Director of its Office of Food for Peace, effective October 29, 2018. Trey brings more than a decade of experience in the U.S. Senate, where he has served as a Senior Professional Staff Member leading major initiatives advancing government accountability, and specifically oversight of U.S. foreign assistance. Trey has been a champion of food aid reform efforts and ensuring that USAID has the necessary flexibility in international food assistance. Overall he has been an ally on humanitarian assistance issues and friend to Food for Peace and the rest of the international food assistance community. 

USAID thanks Matt Nims for his excellent leadership of the Office of Food for PEace over the last 22 months. Matt will continue to fulfill his duties as Deputy Director in Food for Peace. 

Trey will be present at the next Food Aid Consultative Group (FACG) meeting, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 1:00-4:30PM EST. The meeting will take place at 555 12th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004. Additional details and the agenda will be forthcoming.
