USDA FY 2018 Local and Regional Food Aid Procurement Program
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is now accepting applications for the FY 2018 Local and Regional Food Aid Procurement (LRP) program. Through the LRP program, USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) will work with partners to implement field-based projects in developing countries through the use of locally procured commodities. These efforts will complement existing U.S. government food assistance programs, especially the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program, which supports school feeding and maternal and child nutrition projects around the world. In FY 2018, applications will be prioritized for Guatemala, Honduras, Malawi, and Senegal.
When funded, LRP projects normally last up to three years. All projects under this solicitation will be subject to funding availability.
Visit the Local and Regional Food Aid Procurement Program page to learn more about the program. The complete Notice of Funding Opportunity is found on the Food Aid Information System (FAIS) homepage.
The application deadline is Friday, June 22, 2018 at 5:00 PM EDT.
