The objective of this guide is to assist engineers and managers responsible for wastewater service provision in understanding which solutions are technically feasible and in line with the priorities of their small town. It provides a methodology for these decision-makers to identify the characteristics of their service area that will be most important in choosing appropriate wastewater treatment solutions and to understand the trade-offs between different solutions that meet their needs.
