Washington, D.C.

USAID's Office of Food for Peace (FFP) asked TOPS to facilitate a consultation to solicit feedback to improve future Multi Year Development Food Assistance Programs Request for Applications (RFA) and country guidance. This rapid process consisted of initial discussions internally within PVOs with the output submitted to help form the basis for discussions at a half-day workshop on June 27. Representatives from FFP and the PVO community attended.

This process provided an opportunity for the PVO community to have an impact on the RFA, and so improve the ability to design and implement effective food security programs with FFP. The report from the workshop has been submitted to FFP as PVO feedback.

The attached document is not the end of this process. FFP is committed to ongoing consultation with the PVO community, and there are several items in the document where there was significant more work that needed to be done before we could make a recommendation. Depending on the follow-up plan listed in the document TOPS will follow up on a number of items, and other items are dependent on a member of the PVO community taking a lead.
