Meet the Changemakers: SCALE Creative Green Adaptation Award Winners 2021
Congratulations to SCALE's 2021 Creative Green Adaptation Award winners!
SCALE called out to humanitarian and development practitioners, who are rapidly adapting the ways in which they deliver critical aid and programming, and asked them to share with us how they are helping communities around the globe face unprecedented challenges due to climate change.
We met with these five organizations on December 9th for a discussion on what they learned, how they did it, and what they plan to do next. Watch the presentation recording below!

The Winners:
- Award for Technical Excellence in an Emergency Setting: WADATA/USAID - Recuperation des terres pastorales degradees (Recovery of degraded pastoral lands)
- Award for Technical Excellence in a Development Setting: Solidaridad NAMBOLA: Appreciating past sustainable practices funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Donor's Choice Award: Berendina Micro Investments Company Ltd - Innovative Sustainable Approach for Biogas Production among Small Dairy Farmers in Sri Lanka
- People's Choice Award: CARE/Peru - Creciendo con Morikke en Amarakaeri (Growing with Mörikke (nuts) in Amarakaeri)
- Honorable Mention: CRS/Madagascar - DFSA Maharo Youth Climate Information Task Force: community-led early warning system for drought
