As communities around the globe face unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19, humanitarians have rapidly adjusted the ways in which they deliver critical aid and programming.

SCALE released this award in order to seek creative program innovations and adaptations resulting from COVID-19-related constraints and challenges in the sectors of agriculture, natural resource management (NRM), and alternative livelihoods. Submissions were welcomed from partners implementing USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA)-funded emergency and development activities, as well as those working on other donor-funded programs that have relevance to the food security implementing community.

Prize Details

The winner of the Creative Adaptation Award will be selected by the SCALE Technical Committee in September. They will have their winning approach documented in a technical brief and will be featured in a SCALE-produced professional video alongside several of the strongest submissions, which will be circulated widely to thousands of members of the Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) Network and the wider food security community.
