In this 2.5-hour course, you will learn how to design and conduct your own qualitative research, whether it’s for a study or routine monitoring, in a rigorous and systematic way that will help you and your team make informed decisions. Filled with guidance, practical tools, and templates, this course will show you how to use qualitative methods to go beyond mere "anecdotal information" to understand the dynamics that underlie your program's quantitative indicators, gaining insights on what is or isn't working and why. Building on IDEAL's Qualitative Design Toolkit, the course outlines clear steps for conducting qualitative inquiry for monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
