A Framework for Maximizing the Effectiveness of U.S. Government Efforts to Stabilize Conflict Affected Areas
The Stabilization Assistance Review (SAR) is a framework approved by the Department of State, USAID, and Department of Defense in early 2018. It is designed to leverage diplomatic engagement, defense, and foreign assistance to stabilize conflict-affected areas more effectively. The SAR captures lessons learned from past stabilization contexts and provides a detailed framework to optimize interagency efforts, making it valuable for policymakers, diplomats, military personnel, and aid workers involved in stabilizing conflict-affected regions.
