How Resilient Are Farming Households, Communities, Men and Women to A Changing Climate in Africa?
In this article we examine the social, economic and political conditions that define the adaptation limits of a selected number of households and communities in Eastern and Western Africa. For that, we draw on a unique qualitative and quantitative dataset on household, and community, level perspectives. An analysis of the dataset allows us to appreciate the extent to which those human groups are exposed to, and able to cope with, and recover from multiple stresses and shocks.
