This training was designed to help private voluntary organizations (PVOs) improve the quality of their qualitative research in order to make informed programming decisions for their child survival projects.

The target audience for this training is monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officers, project managers, other field staff involved in qualitative research, and headquarters backstops. Ministry of Health partners and representatives from donor agencies should also be considered, as they can promote the training program at national and regional levels.

Within this curriculum, you will find the trainers’ guides (which include the detailed lesson plans for each session), tips on how to implement each session found in side bars or text boxes throughout the sessions, and the participant modules, which include all of the handouts. These files are in Word, so you can adapt them as needed. You will also find sample Power Point presentations that you can adapt, as well.
