Understanding the Links between WASH & Child Nutrition - Part I
In this webinar, researchers will present and discuss results from the Fiovana RFSA pathogen pathways study in Southeastern Madagascar, led by Aquaya.
This three-part webinar series will share findings from two recently completed pathogen pathways studies to identify and prioritize environmental risks for children associated with acute and chronic undernutrition.
Both studies are funded by PRO-WASH, an initiative funded by USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). The studies were done by Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), University of California Berkeley, North Carolina State University, and Aquaya.
The Fiovana RFSA is a five-year activity funded by USAID/BHA and implemented by the Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) in eastern Madagascar. The activity works to address and mitigate acute levels of food insecurity experienced by communities in this region of Madagascar. The Nawiri RFSA in Kenya is implemented by Mercy Corps and works to reduce persistent acute malnutrition in the arid and semi-arid land counties of Turkana, Samburu, Marsabit, and Isiolo.
