This report explores the challenges and opportunities of working in a nexus approach from the humanitarian NGO perspective. It aims to support NGOs in engaging with the European Union on the nexus approach, emphasizing the importance of better addressing people's humanitarian and development needs, especially in protracted crises. The report discusses the humanitarian-development nexus, commonly known as the "triple nexus," which includes a peace dimension. The report presents case studies gathered from VOICE members and NGOs in Myanmar, focusing on effective nexus programming in different contexts. The resource identifies enabling factors and challenges, drawing on a mixed methodology that includes documentation review, interviews, discussions, and workshops with local, national, and international NGOs and the EU. The report is targeted at humanitarian NGOs, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners interested in understanding the dynamics, enablers, and barriers of the humanitarian-development nexus.
